JW.ORG – Youths Who Put God First [REVIEWED]

In an article on JW.ORG regarding blood transfusions, the organization answers some commoth “myths” about blood transfusions.

One of the questions goes like this: Myth: Many Witnesses, including children, die each year as a result of refusing blood transfusions.[1]

And the organization goes on to address this “Myth”, making the following statement.

Here the organization states in black and white that it is a myth that many Witnesses, including children, died after refusing blood transfusions. This is a blatant lie. In fact, they published the opposite claim in an Awake Article of 1994 titled “Youths Who Put God First“[2].

So, to say that the statement “Many Witnesses, including children, die each year as a result of refusing blood transfusions” is a myth is absolute deception, and completely contradictory to what they said before.

In addition to their own admission, a recent study by Dr. Osamu Muramoto[3] found that as many as 594 Jehovah’s Witnesses die every year as a direct result of not being allowed a blood transfusion [4], and since the ban on blood transfusion was implemented in 1961, more than 30,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses have died as a direct result of being refused a blood transfusion.

The article is currently still published on their website at the following link: https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/101994360
